We are in search for aDevOps Engineerto join the team fulltime. Core functions of this role includeconfiguration, documentation, optimization, building workflow processes and supporting infrastructure components managed by the DevOps team. You work collaboratively and support the Software Development and Cloud Operation teams in deploying new products from Dev through to production with oversight over DevOps pipeline requirements gathering, process and technology. You will use your creative and unique skill set to troubleshoot environment issues and provide quick resolutions or workaround with focus on resuming operations.
What you will do:
Automate build and deployment of Azure services
Manage code deployments, fixes, updates, and related processes
Test automation tools for infrastructure provisioning
Use coding languages or scripting methodologies to solve a problem
Work with CI/CD tools and source control such as GIT
Perform incremental testing actions on code, processes and deployments to identify ways to streamline execution and minimize errors encountered
Perform incremental testing on code, processes and deployments
Continuously seek ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Actively troubleshoot any issues that arise during testing and production, catching and solving issues before launch
Stay current with industry trends and source new ways for our business to improve.
Formal Education and Training:
BS in Computer Science, IT, IS, or equivalent area of technical study (IT experience can substitute for a BS degree)
Azure Fundamentals certification preferred
Skills and Qualifications:
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service
Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Ability to explain protocol and processes with team and management
Process and detail-oriented with great documentation skills
Knowledge of DevOps best practices and IT operations
Excellent time management skills with the capability to prioritize and multitask
Current with industry trends, ability to research emerging technology and make recommendations
More than two years of experience in a DevOps Engineer role (or similar role) experience in software development and infrastructure development is a plus
Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks while under pressure
Knowledge and Experience:
Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies & DevOps principals
Minimum 3 years working experience with Microsoft Azure SQL Database, APIM, Web Apps, Functions, Logic Apps, Azure DevOps
Strong experience in Azure Cloud services, i.e., IsaS, PaaS and deployment via IAC
Experience with infrastructure automation, including configuration management and infrastructure provisioning using Bicep, ARM Templates or Terraform
Knowledge of Azure Governance and best practices (RBAC, Networking Architectures, Tagging, Cost Management controls, etc.)
Strong experience with databases systems such as MS SQL, MySQL, NoSQL
Experience with project management and workflow tools such as Agile, Jira, Scrum/Kanban, etc.
Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment
Strong experience with scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Bash, and Perl
Familiarity with container orchestration services, i.e., Kubernetes
Familiarity with agile software development in C#, C/C++, Java, JavaScript
Experience administering and deploying development CI/CD tools such as Team City and Octopus Deploy
Work schedule: Monday to Friday 4 pm to 1 am
