Description:
 
The right candidate should have a strong systems and networking administration background, coupled  with admin scripting skills (Bash, Python, PowerShell).  A strong understanding of DevOps concepts like GitOps, CI/CD, DevSecOps, Configuration Management (CM), and Infrastructure-as-code (IaC).  Some experience working on distributed software development teams is also highly desirable.  Must have experience working with AWS cloud platform including but not limited to the core compute, networking, and storage services.

Duties include:
Daily operational maintenance tasks
Participation in daily standups with development and infrastructure teams to align agile sprints
Continuously monitor and improve our overall performance, monitoring, and security Using APM tools like New Relic
Scripting/Development of CI/CD pipelines to include toolchain selection, automated testing and deployment.
Troubleshoot operational and deployment issues with development teams
Participation in on-call rotation
Participation in compliance audits for PCI-DSS, running system audits, generating reports
Ticket management and time entry into Jira
Architecting resilient web architectures on AWS
Qualifications:
5+ years’ experience in Linux Systems and/or Network Administration (previous DevOps preferred)
2+ years’ experience developing CI/CD toolchains in an Agile development environment
4+ years’ experience building resilient web architectures on AWS, familiarity with the well-architected framework provided by AWS.  Deep knowledge of principal services like [EC2, VPC, S3, EFS, Lambda, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, and more…]
Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible and Terraform
Experience with Jenkins scripting
Experience with site reliability engineering, designing for fault tolerance and high availability
Ability to work in distributed teams using SCM (Source Control Management) best practices
Experience with log aggregation and management tools (fluentd, logstash, CloudWatch logs)
Familiarity with DevSecOps best practices (key rotation, implementing MFA, PKI, SAML, to name a few…)
Ability to translate business requirements into coded configurations
Deep understanding of networking concepts and their role in hybrid cloud deployments 
Experience working with autoscaling and elastic computing and storage components
Experience with DNS and CDN management
Experience deploying containerized applications via Kubernetes or AWS EKS (Elastic Kubernetes Service)
