DevOps Engineer HOMEBASED
 
 
Working Schedule: 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM 
MUST have stable internet connection at home
 
 
Job Description      
-Maintaining, troubleshooting and improving company’s linux-based network of cloud servers running Mysql, NFS, Apache, Plesk and our own perl-based application server software.
-Updating, managing & maintaining the security of company’s clients sites (including Wordpress, Magento and other CMS technologies).
-Maintenance and improvement of systems administration scripts and tools (written in Perl, Bash or PHP).
-Resolving issues with Email, DNS, Domain Names and development of our PHP-based systems for managing these.
-Dealing with compromised websites, restoring backups and closing security holes and cleaning up after security breaches.
-Supporting our teams of NZ-based and Philippines-based developers with network and system administration issues.
-Being on-call to deal with outages and urgent issues after hours.
-Documentation of systems admin procedures and technical details
 
Requirements:
-Must have 4+ years of commercial experience in systems administration, webmaster-related roles or web development.
-A good understanding of Linux-based servers and system administration, including managing software such as Apache & Mysql.
-Excellent knowledge of Linux-based scripting languages such as PHP, Perl, Python or Bash
-Excellent knowledge of Cloud Computing platform AWS
-Familiarity with other Cloud platforms like MS Azure and Google Cloud
-A good understanding of Continuous Delivery (CD) theory, concepts and real-world application of them
-Familiarity with open source website technologies such as Wordpress would be a plus
