Job Overview:
The Development Specialist will be responsible for designing and programming applications, or developing and supporting Databases. This specialist would complete low to medium complexity tasks to help fulfil user requirements. The development specialist will provide support and maintenance for current applications or databases to ensure efficiencies and resolutions to issues. The development specialist must be able to demonstrate complex problem-solving ability. The specialist must be able to synthesize information from multiple sources (functional requirements, system environment constraints, security standards, and technical research) to understand a situation and identify implementation steps.
Job Duties & Competencies Database Development Specialist
Uses knowledge of database applications, tools, infrastructure, and standards to develop, implement, and support databases. Administers database management system software to ensure information organization, accessibility, and security.
Demonstrates a knowledge proficiency of the following:
SQL skills utilizing DDL (Data Definition Language)
DML (Data Manipulation Language)
SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services)
SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services)
