The majority of the application workload is related to Commercial Lines rating but also includes interfaces and Authentication system. Activities include estimating the effort for change requests, researching and providing solutions for reported errors, coordinating work with other vendors, assigning the work to team members, mentoring, training and development of junior resources, interviewing for new resources, developing change specifications, test situations, as well as making changes to the applications. This position also includes the oversight of the applications environments. Role can be performed from NY, NJ, or CT offices. Your future duties and responsibilities: . Understand the business requirements, provide accurate estimates, develop the code and unit testing. . Experience leading a team . Respond to inquiries from Business Users for assistance in diagnosing Production System operations, data. . Be able to make ongoing recommendation for operational improvements of production applications. . Provide support for critical production issues . Ability to work to deadlines and manage expectations . Interact with Client and Vendors development team for continuous design suggestions, development, and status updates . Code review of the team members & suggest best coding/design practices . Work with the team members located in a different location . Overseeing a team of technical developers (onshore and / or offshore) . Develop business rating requirements documentation from client specifications . Ability to analyze and evaluate existing and/or proposed insurance systems . Use the Ratabase solution to implement client rating solutions, including the coding and testing of formulas and tables within the Ratabase Product Builder .
