We are seeking a Developer - 4 to join our growing team!
The Senior Developer position is responsible for writing application code to contribute to the full lifecycle of development from concept to post-production support and maintenance of server / OS / desktop / web / mobile applications and services. This position will develop application code, contribute to version-controlled source code repositories and will managed assigned tasks to create measurable value and deliver software to market using industry recognized agile methodologies and best practices. The Senior Developer will be responsible for coding according to prescribed standards and guidelines set forth by the architects and leadership teams and must demonstrate quality, brevity and timeliness in all deliverables.
A Day in the Life:
Design and implement scalable solutions to challenging problems
Code review with teammates, identify areas for improvement, and help mentor junior developers
Measure performance pre and post-deployment
Bring new functionality from conception to release
Build new or modernize existing functionalities to enable our global presence
Share ownership of major areas of back-end functionality and support them
Work with test engineers to identify and fix defects using basic and advanced issue troubleshooting and root cause analysis techniques
Research and evaluate new technologies
Required: 9-5 EST schedule
We are looking for someone who brings:
You've been building web applications professionally for 8+ years using PHP and frameworks
You have built and configured Linux web servers
You have been instrumental in the development, deployment, and scaling of a public-facing load balanced web application
You have experience with other functional or imperative programming languages -- e.g., Python, Ruby, Go, C#, or Java
You can demonstrate a thorough understanding of OOP, SOLID, encapsulation, and SOA
You have 7+ years' experience with SQL and a complete understanding of query optimization
You have 6+ years' experience with any Linux OS
You have 4+ years' experience working with containers such as Docker or Kubernetes
You can contribute to technical architecture discussions and help drive technical decisions
You write understandable, testable code with an eye towards scalability and maintainability
You are a strong communicator. Explaining complex technical concepts to designers, support, and other engineers is no problem for you
You possess strong computer science fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, programming languages, distributed systems, and information retrieval
You have a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent training, fellowship, or work experience
PHP (familiarity with both 5.6 and 8+)
Containers (Vagrant / Docker)

TDD (PHPUnit, Rspec)
