Good knowledge of programming, along with requisite coding and debugging skills. Understanding of software design principles, patterns, algorithms, data structures and multi-threading concepts. Excellent troubleshooting skills to debug issues and resolve problems. Passion for product quality and attention to detail. Experience with agile development is beneficial. Experience with eclipse-based development is beneficial. Skills - Java 1.8. JSP / Servlets. Web Frameworks like Struts / Spring. Service Oriented Architecture / Web Services - SOAP / REST. Web Technologies like HTML, CSS, Javascript and JQuery. Spring Dependency Injection. Build tool (Ant, Maven, etc.). JUnit (or other Unit Testing framework). Version Control mostly Git. Application server/container configuration management and application deployment (WebSphere, Tomcat, JBoss). AJAX. Understanding Liferay(optional).
