DESIGN LEAD
 
The Design Lead is responsible for overseeing the design execution of all products, ensuring the accuracy, appropriateness, consistency, and quality of all templates produced daily. Facilitates regular trainings for all Graphic Designers.
Responsibilities:
Reviews and gives the "stamp of approval" for all design work produced by the graphic designers and ensures it meets quality standards and "fits for purpose."
Ensures that all design work is accurate, appropriate, well-researched, competitive, consistent, visually appealing, and most importantly, usable for the end users.
Provides feedback to designers on their areas for improvement, and gives them information on the best design practices.
Identifies issues with design work when done in the editor tool and escalates them to the appropriate person or department.
Creates and develops standard design guides and design review processes, and maintains them as necessary.
Works closely with the Production Manager to prioritize template production, ensuring publishing of the templates is on time.
Collaborate with other teams to ensure the creative work aligns with overall business objectives.
Facilitates training of new hires in the designing and publishing aspect.
Conducts learning sessions for the design team, ensuring they stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and techniques as necessary.
Understand any updates and requirements and communicate them to the team effectively.
Perform a time and motion study to ascertain the design and publication cycle time for a specific product or category, as required.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Fine Arts, Advertising, Marketing, or any related field
Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate creative ideas and concepts effectively
Strong portfolio demonstrating a diverse range of successful creative work across multiple platforms and mediums
Excellent leadership, management, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate a team
Has a deep understanding of design principles, marketing strategies, and creative processes
Familiarity with the industry standard tools and software, such as Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and others
Hands-on experience in the creative process, marketing, graphic design, and brand development
Must be willing to work onsite or in the office as is mandatory for this position
