The Design and Fabrication Technician executes 3D Design creation and fabrication of jigs and fixtures including tools used in new product FAI run and OQE process improvement and sustaining activities.Creates 3D design process jigs and fixtures.Executes repairs and troubleshooting of fabrication equipment.Executes fabrication of jigs and fixtures using machine shop equipment such as CNC machine, cutting machine, lathe and other Fabrication shop equipment.Conducts inventory of tools and spare parts of Machine Shop.Executes and performs preventive maintenance of the fabrication shop equipment as scheduled.Ensures delivery of requested jigs and communicates with requestors ensuring design and drawing are available and correct in a timely manner.Provides technical support on the design and development of tools, jigs and machines to be used in the operations and other support group.Processes disposal of waste materials and chemical used during fabrication.Generates shift report regarding activities conducted on during the shift.Participates in the continuous improvement initiative of the company.Adheres to the Asurion handbook and Rules of Corrective Discipline.Performs other task that may be assigned by his/her immediate supervisor.Work ExperienceMinimum 1 year experience in manufacturing or machine shop environmentExperience in jigs/fixture design and development.Experience on testing electronic devices, using various equipment's.Competencies:Customer championAnalytical and strong-willed; Driving results; problem-solving skillsSupporting collaboration; Displaying courage; Divine discontent; intellectual horsepower and learning agility; displaying credibility, ownership, and influenceDeep dive on details of the Project specific task owners and ancillary tasks and ownersFunctional:Excellent time and multi-task management skillsWorking in fast-paced environmentAdaptive on changes of short-term management directions and strategiesFlexibility of schedule to accommodate business needsPerson with high integrity; Patient; consider hard working attitudePassionate to constant learning and share knowledge to othersTechnical:Basic knowledge in 3D SolidWorks and Electrical/Mechanical Automation Skill, MS Office skills required.Hands-on experience in basic machine shop equipment such as but not limited to milling and lathe machines
