Our facility in Manila, Philippines has been operating since 1996 with key functions in Design and Development, Engineering, Manufacturing and other disciplines. This site specializes in product design, process development and mass production of Photodiodes, Photodiode Arrays and High-Performance Sensors. These product technologies are primarily for LiDAR applications such as autonomous vehicles and range finding, as well as safety and security applications including smoke detection and luggage scanning.
We are presently seeking for Design and Development Engineer that will drive development of new Photonic solution (lasers, emitters and detectors) products from design up to production transfer.
Main responsibilities:
Performs device design, specification reviews, prototype verification and validation.
Leads a cross-functional team for process development, process qualification, pre-production builds and production transfer.
Works closely with Manila Operations/Engineering teams in resolving quickly customer issues.
Participates in engineering projects like raw material cost reduction, yield improvement and scrap reduction.
Requirements:
Preferably with University Degree in Materials Eng/Mechanical Engineering/Physics/Applied Physics/Electronics Engineering or related courses.
Fresh grads to experienced engineers.
Candidates with experience as NPI/Equipment/Process Engineers are preferable.
Has good understanding of electro-optic devices.
Knowledgeable in semiconductor assembly processes.
Background in die attach process/equipment or wirebond process/equipment are preferable.
With though understanding of experimental design and data analysis for high volume manufacturing.
Ability to work on multiple projects and self-motivated.
Able to lead cross-functional teams, good team player and with bias for action.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
