Learning, research, discovery, and innovation across diverse disciplines will form the core of NEOM U's mission. NEOM U's Colleges, Schools, Divisions, and Institutes will be intricately woven into this fabric of knowledge. The role of the Founding Dean of Graduate Studies is pivotal in this journey. They must be a passionate, visionary, and inspirational leader who deeply believes in the potential of convergent learning and research. Working closely with the President, the Provost, other Deans, and the Directors of the Research Institutes within NEOM's Education, Research, and Innovation (ERI) Sector, the Dean will ensure alignment with their specific disciplines, enhance a growing culture of research, and support the development of innovative graduate programs.
The Founding Dean will be instrumental in participating to form partnerships with select international institutions. These collaborations will contribute to building and launching the academic programs at NEOM U. To achieve this, the Dean will be involved in hiring talented and driven faculty who are eager to reimagine and advance the learning, discovery, and innovation processes. Additionally, the Dean will play a key role in the design of NEOM U facilities, active learning classrooms, and learning spaces. Building strong partnerships with NEOM Sectors, Regions, and other stakeholders relevant to their units mission will be vital for success in the designing of curriculum and also positioning our graduates for their future careers.. In summary, the Founding Dean will provide the inspiration, academic leadership, and management expertise necessary for NEOM U's success. One of the primary responsibilities of the Dean of Graduate Studies is to oversee the approval of new courses of study and establish regulations governing the award of degrees. They will also coordinate teaching and supervision activities, closely consulting with all Colleges. The Dean will maintain rigorous standards for research training at NEOM U, encompassing admission processes, adequate infrastructure, supervision, and examination protocols .

Strategic Leadership : Drive the direction of graduate education in alignment with NEOM U's strategic and implementation plans, envisioning new disciplines, degrees, certificates, and courses that distinguish NEOM-U as a leading institution.
Collaborative Partnerships : Foster strong collaborative relationships with faculty, program coordinators, college deans, administrators, and external stakeholders to enhance graduate programs impact and relevance.
Academic Excellence : Cultivate progressive academic and administrative policies that align with NEOM U's strategies and ensure the highest standards of research training, including admission processes, infrastructure, supervision, and examination protocols.
Enrollment Management and Marketing : Develop and implement effective enrollment management strategies, collaborating with the Provost on marketing and promotional activities to generate interest and awareness for graduate studies.
Resource Management : Oversee the operating budgets of the Graduate Studies Office, making efficient use of resources to support the strategic plan and initiatives for graduate studies.
Inspiring Leadership : Serve as an unwavering source of inspiration and guidance, both internally and externally, to propel NEOM U towards becoming a preeminent global institution of higher learning.
