Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Database Administrator to join our Information Technology Team. You will be reporting directly to the Head of IT, and you will lead ongoing operational and technical support and development of a variety of in-house SQL systems.
You will take responsibility for continuous improvement of the database administration, environment maintenance and development and will display a determination to implement and follow best practice and support the service delivery team.
Alongside in-house systems, you will also take responsibility for onboarding new enterprise applications as required, with a view to being our internal application owner, supporting our users nationally.

Job Details:
Database Administrator
Work from home
Monday to Friday | 8 PM to 5 AM
Responsibilities:
Develop, administer, and maintain policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of database systems
Guide functional users in the development of database requirements and criteria
Design and develop interfaces and database views for reporting and application processing
Extend the functionality of applications by combining system configuration and custom program development; implement data models, database designs, data access, and table maintenance codes
Follow-up with clients to facilitate quality control and ensure customer satisfaction
Assists in the testing and improvement of new technology initiatives
Modify database programs to increase processing performance
Maintain and audit institutional data standards
Communicate with technical, application, and operational staff to ensure database integrity and security
Coordinate processes to develop data standards policy to improve data accuracy, integration, access and integrity
Qualifications:
5+ years' experience in designing, tuning, and implementing SQL Server, SSIS, SSAS and related products. (SQL Server 2016, 2017, 2019)
Experience with Linux Servers
Demonstrated success working implementing high performance applications
Expert knowledge all features of SQL Stored Procedure, SQL jobs, Functions and Triggers, optimization and continuous query turning
Experience with database design, data modelling, normalization, integration, implementation, security, architecture and DR/BCP
Experience with advanced DB scripting and automation
Advanced SQL and translating complex business requirements into a logical & algorithmic implementation
Experience managing multiple DB platforms between production, staging and development, repository systems and database deployment
