MVP Asia Pacific Inc. is looking for a Database Admin for one of our clients in Australia who is a fully licensed bookmaker that prides itself on customer service and professionalism. The client has developed with the best of breed cloud computing platforms to ensure a seamless and enjoyable experience to their customers. Their passion is to deliver a world class experience to their customers across sport and racing.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Responsibility for the evaluation of database software purchases
• Write queries and product reports
• Supervision of modifications to any existing database software to meet the needs of their employer
• Responsibility for maintaining the integrity and performance of company databases
• Must guarantee that data is stored securely and optimally
• Informing end users of changes in databases and train them to utilize systems
• Ensuring the security of company data
Qualifications:
• A degree holder in any related field.
• At least 1 year of work experience as a Database Admin or any related role.
• Strong command of SQL and SQL server tools
• Advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards
• Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling
• Strong mathematical and statistical knowledge
• Experience with Linux and Windows Server environments
• Extensive experience with database technologies (MySQL, MS SQL, PostgreSQL Oracle, MongoDB)
• Excellent English communication skills.
