OverviewWe are seeking a highly driven and analytical Data Scientist to spearhead our agency's advanced analytics efforts. This is a unique "player-only" role to start, requiring someone who is both highly strategic and deeply hands-on in execution.The ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation in data science, analytics, and modeling, along with agency experience and an understanding of eCommerce and/or Amazon platforms (Amazon Marketing Cloud experience strongly preferred). This role is critical in helping the agency leverage data to drive measurable outcomes for our clients. You should be a doer who thrives on rolling up your sleeves, working directly with raw data, and delivering actionable insights that influence media strategy and business outcomes. Media agency background is strongly valued, and an understanding of retail media, eCommerce, and Amazon ecosystems will give you an edge.Key Responsibilities
Collect, clean, and analyze structured and unstructured datasets from multiple sources, including our proprietary media/data platforms, eCommerce environments, and Amazon Marketing Cloud.
Design, develop, and deploy predictive models and attribution analyses to evaluate media performance and help our teams optimize spend.
Translate complex analytical outputs into clear business insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Partner with internal media and strategy teams to uncover opportunities where data can maximize client ROAS and business growth.
Establish processes for data governance, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and scalability across reporting and modeling efforts.
Serve as the sole data science lead offshore, with the potential to help scale the function in the future.
Qualifications
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related field.
3+ years of applied data science or advanced analytics experience, ideally within a media or digital agency environment.
Proficiency in Python and/or R, with strong SQL skills for data manipulation.
Experience with machine learning techniques, statistical modeling, and attribution modeling.
Familiarity with visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Looker, or similar).
Strong experience with eCommerce datasets; Amazon Marketing Cloud expertise strong preferred.
Knowledge of cloud-based platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) for large-scale data handling.
Proven ability to work independently, manage competing deadlines, and deliver high-quality results in a remote/offshore role.
