Job Description
• To monitor the company's compliance with the Data Protection Ast (DPA) of 2012, its Implementing Rules and Regulations (IRR), issuances by the National Privacy Commission (NPC) and other applicable laws and policies.
• To collect information to identify the company's processing operations, activities, measures, projects, programs, or systems and maintain a record thereof.
• To analyze and check the compliance of processing activities, including the issuance of security clearances to and compliance by third-party service providers.
• To ensure the conduct of Privacy Impact Assessments (PIA) relative to activities, measures, projects, programs or systems of the company.
• To advise the company regarding complaints and/or the exercise by clients of their rights (e.g.) requests for information, clarifications, rectification or deletion of personal data).
• To ensure proper data breach and security incident management by the company including the preparation and submission to the NPC of reports and other documentation concerning security incidents or data breaches within the prescribed period.
• To inform, cultivate and conduct seminar on privacy and data protection within the organization, including relevant laws, rules and regulations, and issuances of the NPC
• To serve as the contact person of the company in all matters concerning data privacy or security issues or concerns
• To cooperate, coordinate and seek the advice of the NPC regarding matters concerning data privacy and security.
• To perform other duties and tasks that may be assigned by the company that will further the interest of data privacy and security and uphold the rights of clients.
Qualification
• Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
• At least 2 years work experience in the related field
• With knowledge in Business and Systems Analysis, IT Operations.
• Excellent management skills and the ability to easily interact with people
• Above average verbal and written communication skills
• Familiarity with computer security systems
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Ethical, with the ability to remain impartial and report all non-compliance.
• Organizational skills with attention to details
