Job Description
POSITION DETAILS
The Data Engineering Manager leads the solutioning and BAU for store-related analytics. Understand business requirements and proposing flexible and robust solutions in line with best practices and overall technical architecture roadmap for the company.
Responsible and accountable in the day-to-day operations and projects implementation for all store-related business intelligence requirements, data governance and security, data integration, data modeling, and day-to-day operations.
Accountable for the data acquisition from different store-wide data sources available inside and/or outside the business, structured, semi-structured and unstructured.
Oversees projects and deliverables assigned to the team so that delivery of functionality is provided according to the business requirements.
Responsible for the supervision of Data Engineering staff including, but not limited to, conducting performance reviews, mentoring staff in best practice and problem solving, supervision of project tasks, resource allocation to projects, and production issue resolution.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors Degree from any science related course. Statistics, Mathematics, IE, IT, MIS, Engineering or Computer Science degrees with specialization in business analytics.
Minimum of 8-years experience in Data Warehouse / Business Intelligence / Data Analytics Implementation (in QSR or Retail Industry is an advantage).
Extensive Knowledge of Project Management Principles and Practices, System Development and Life Cycle
Extensive Knowledge of IT Service Management Principles and Practices (ITIL V3/V4)
Knowledge on new cloud technologies such as data lake / cloud data warehousing
Extensive expertise in data modeling, master data platforms, and queries / data visualization
Experience with data science, statistical analysis, data mining and predictive algorithms is a plus
Information Governance and Security
Written and verbal communication, with strong presentation skills.
Willing to be assigned in Ortigas, Pasig City. ( Hybrid Work Setup)
