Job description
Ylopo LLC is an exciting, rapidly growing, and well-funded technology startup headquartered in Santa Monica, CA with a growing team based in and around Manila. We are looking for a talented Data Engineer experienced to work alongside our CTO.
This is a full-time, work from home position with PST hours. Occasional weekend work or overtime may arise when deadlines need to be met.
Job Role and Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, implement, document, and operate large-scale volume, high-performance data structures for the business
- Implement data structures using best practices in data modeling and ETL processes
- Gather business and functional requirements and translate these into robust, scalable operable solutions
- Participate in the full end to end development life cycle, from design, implementation, and testing, to documentation, delivery, support, and maintenance
- Responsible for the SIT execution with a focus on strategic testing processes and procedures to ensure that business standards and specifications are met
- Support various business functions by collaborating with multiple stakeholders, work with cross-functional teams to source data and make it available for business use
Requirements
Skill Requirements
- With working experience in Data Management, Data Modelling, ETL development, Data Warehousing and Data Analysis
- Strong hands-on skill in SQL and PL/SLQ
- Knowledge in Analytical Software such as Tableau and TIBCO Jaspersoft
- With knowledge and deep understanding in data platform architecture design
- Good knowledge in Data Warehouse is essential, with a strong ability to analyze user requirements into technical solutions based on specifications
- Strong interpersonal, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills
- Exposure to an open-source relational database such as PostgresSQL is an advantage
- Experience in end to end automation, building procedures, ETL, and automation job scheduling using Pentaho is a plus
System Requirements:
Processor should be 2ghz and above, Intel Core 5/7 is highly required
Ram should be at least 8 gig with 100 gb Free disk space
A Headset with noise canceling feature
At least 10 mbps & up wired connection for main ISP
strictly no USB Sticks allowed for backup ISP
