Job Description
Job Qualifications:
Graduate of Computer Engineering, Electronics Communications
Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
Licensed Electrical Engineer / Electronics Communications Engineering
Relevant Experiences:
Experience in mission-critical facility design, construction, and implementation of Data Centers.
Experience with mission-critical power distribution, mechanical systems (HVAC), and data systems.
Experience with structured cabling, optical technologies, DC power management, and server/network hardware
Must have strong cross-discipline knowledge of complete critical facility systems
Ability to provide solutions to complex projects under pressure
Experience working in a regulatory environment with a deep understanding of Change Control, Incident Management & Problem Management processes, and procedure
Hands-on experience in day-to-day Data Center operations
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to perform written and oral communications and oral presentations, to communicate technical topics to management and non-technical audiences, and to interface with internal customers on a daily basis
Adept at working independently, but also in a team environment
Proactive and flexible with the ability to effectively work either as part of a team or as an individual
Effective written and verbal communication at all levels
Strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize effectively.
Excellent understanding of change management, testing requirements, techniques, and tools to ensure high availability of systems.
Business Understanding:
Participate in the planning, coordination, implementation, and execution of approved policies, programs, and services related to Data Center services
Willing to work in Converge and on-site.
Support and maintain 24x7 Data Center operations
Maintain full working knowledge of current best practices for cabinet-levelhardware, industry-standard cable management, documentation, and labeling standards.
Knowledge of fiber optic cable types, the make-up of fiber optic cables, and specifications.
Knowledge of cable testing procedures and test equipment.
o VFL ( Visual Fault Locator )
o Power Meter
o OTDR ( Optical Time Domain Reflectometer )
o Fiber Optical Splicer
o 10g to 100g tester. it's an advantage, but not a requirement
o Battery Tester.
Knowledge of inside plant safety measures.
Knowledge of data center security processes and adherence to the measures they put in place.
Knowledge of various network equipment like Servers, switches, routers, etc.
Basic knowledge of electrical concepts and terms (UPS, GENSET, LVSG, POWER PANEL).
Good work ethic and a willingness to learn.
Work with Network engineering and lead Data Center projects to ensure they are delivered to meet customer requirements.
Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to arrange support or repair of major components inside the data center
