Job Description
About the role:
A Data and Technical Consultantensures that HCM cloud computing customers receive an excellent return on their application investment. The Data and Technical Consultantrole will facilitate the migration of non-Dayforce HCM software applications to Ceridian's Dayforce HCM. They will achieve this by partnering with the Dayforce Implementation project team to provide data conversion expertise and extract and transform client system data for import into Dayforce HCM. In addition, they will collaborate with the client to deliver top-notch client-focused technical expertise such as export requirements between Payroll and General Ledger. They are also the Go to person for client customised reporting requirements.
Responsibilities
Partner with implementation consultants as their primary point-of-contact for product information and data during a Dayforce HCM implementation project.
Assist the Dayforce Implementation project team in understanding the use and setup of a Human Resources/Payroll (HR/PR) client's system including core configuration, adaptation and database customization.
Extract, analyze, map, and transform client previous system employee data according to Dayforce import specifications for load into Dayforce HCM.
Validate that the transformed data is accurate and meets the requirements defined during data mapping/requirements gathering.
Inform and prioritize data conversion toolset functionality and requirements.
Provide accurate, thorough answers to the Implementation Consultant and/or customer inquiries using knowledge of Ceridian products and services.
Collaborate with client to create exports such General Ledger and exports to other 3rd party systems
Collaborate and support the client with import requirements into Dayforce
Manage client's custom reporting requirements. Be the go-to resource for any other technical areas for both internal and external users
Position requirements:
Knowledge & Skills
Strong technical knowledge of SQL, XML, XSLT and/or relational databases is required as well as general MS Excel expertise
Good understanding of Web Services API functionality such as RESTful web services and SOAP web services
Ability to create exports from Dayforce to external systems
Ability to support customers with requirements to create imports into Dayforce
Strong analytical and critical thinking ability, excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to recognise complex problems, analyse situations and provide suggested implemented resolutions
Ability to compare large data sets, organise data and summarise findings
Qualifications / Experience Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (preferably)
Problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to effectively troubleshoot problems to identify root causes and recommend effective solutions
Excellent collaboration and communication skills - both written and verbal.
Demonstrated time management and organisation skills.
Understanding of relational databases
