S&P Global Market Intelligence
The Team: The MMIC team is responsible for collection of technical and financial data of the mining industries globally. We are having a global coverage of over 50 commodities and 36,000+ properties /projects. The team works from across different global offices, including Philippines, India, Pakistan, and Canada. The researcher will be joining a collegial and professional global team, where you will be able to collaborate and exchange domain knowledge and expertise in mining industry data.
The Impact: Our department provides quality, timely and comprehensive data, and our Data Researchers perform the key tasks in data collection, maintenance, and processing. We cater to the needs of both internal and external clients, who use our data in making sound and efficient business analysis and decisions, and in evaluating the global mining sector and metals market with essential intelligence. The researchers would be utilizing our own work tools. They would be responsible in the daily maintenance of the data sets.

Responsibilities:
Captures comprehensive information on the data tracked by the Metals and Mining Industry Content team
Performs straightforward, stand-alone tasks or transactions within detailed instructions and predefined procedures
Delivers on predefined individual and team targets including output with quality and excellence
Keeps up-to-date in knowledge of mining content sets. Builds mining industry knowledge.
Keeps up-to-date on mining industry trends and reporting standards.
Provides input and ideas for new collection methods and product enhancements related to the covered content sets.
Fosters innovation by identifying enhancement initiatives that support our LEAN philosophy
Reviews feedback involving their content to help correct errors and establish or refine procedures and processes to improve accuracy.
Troubleshoots problems or issues and provides meaningful feedback to co-workers.
What We're Looking For:
Basic Qualifications:
Graduate of BS Geology / BS Engineering / Science courses or equivalent
Fresh graduates are welcome
Strong communication, comprehension, and problem solving skills.
Able to collaborate across multiple cultures
Shift: Mid-Shift, but could change depending on business requirements
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong focus on data quality, attention to details, process- and results-oriented
Knowledge or experience in the mining industry is a plus
Experience on research or data collection is a plus
Technical writing
SQL and advanced Excel skills are an advantage
