Job Description
As a member of the Automotive Products Group (APG) at Microchip Technology, you will respond to daily requests for information about the chemical contents of Microchip devices by selecting the relevant information from a database and putting it into an environmental reporting application. If the necessary information is not already in the database, describe what is needed to other team members at Microchip so that they can add it. Other duties will include general assistance to APG engineers, including but not limited to document review and approval, and assisting with non-standard customer action requests.
Job Requirements
Minimum qualifications include: * A 4 year college degree. (bachelor's degree)
Proficiency in written as well as spoken English.
Ability to easily communicate in English with people in other countries over the telephone (or with other communication applications.)
Basic computer literacy, including a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and e-mail.
Willingness to cooperate with team members to complete projects, while also happy to work alone to complete individual areas of responsibility and assignments.
Self-starter, detail oriented, and positive attitude
Preferred but not required qualifications include: * Awareness of what semiconductors are.
General understanding of how semiconductors are assembled and the parts used during assembly.
Basic understanding of the periodic table of elements

20% standing, longest single standing period = 1 hour 80% sitting, longest single sitting period = 3 hours 100% inside Usual shift is Monday through Friday, 8AM to 5PM (or as aligns with company provided transportation)
