Cyber Security Senior Analyst L2 in Clark Pampanga

The Senior Analyst is an experienced L2 Analyst. They work in shifts and are responsible for leading the security analysis, monitoring activities and in investigations. The L2 analysts are the experts in a rostered shift and seek support from L3 and L4 escalation teams during times of critical and high severity incidents. For an analyst to operate at this level, they should have a background in threat detection, triage and containment of cyber-attacks.
They are responsible for an accurate triage and timely resolution within committed SLAs.
 
 
Qualifications:
1. Three years of previous experience as a Cyber Threat Researcher or Cyber Intelligence Analyst.
2. Research experience in tracking cyber threat and malware campaign activity.
3. Ability to create, modify, and implement YARA signatures.
4. Strong understanding of Operating Systems and Network Protocols.
5. Working knowledge of database and operating system security.
6. Understanding of latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
7. Ability to function in a fast-paced environment and effectively manage multiple tasks simultaneously; coordinating resources and ensuring scheduled goals are met.
8. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
9. Ability to effectively interact with various levels of senior management is necessary.
10. Ability to make decisions and resolve problems effectively – Seek out information and data to evaluate, prioritize and formulate best solution or practice.
11. Must be able to multi-task, work independently and as part of a team, share workloads, and deal with sudden shifts in project priorities.
 
 
Education and Certifications:
1. A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Telecommunications, or other related scientific or technical discipline is desired. Four (4) additional years of general experience (as defined above) may be substituted for the degree.
2. Mandatory Certifications: GIAC Certified Incident Handler (GCIH),
3. Certifications Desired: GIAC Security Essentials (GSEC), Cisco Certified Network Analyst in Security (CCNA-Security). GIAC Certified Intrusion Analyst (GCIA).
4. General Experience: 3 years of experience in technical analysis with increasing responsibilities.
5. Good working knowledge of cyber threat analytics.
6. Previous experience working in high paced, cross functional and interdisciplinary teams.
7. Proven ability to document and teach team members how to apply analytic techniques to solve problems.
8. Solid understanding of enterprise IT cybersecurity operational environments.
