A leading California-based wound and skin care provider is hiring for an outstanding opportunity to perform Insurance Verification. After training, this position will perform tasks related to insurance prior authorization & verification, use of of CPT codes for office procedures, surgical procedures, drug prescriptions, Medicare, HMO & PPO verification, and understanding of primary code classifications: ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT and HCPCS Preferred.
Gain and maintain extensive knowledge of different coverage and policies with mixed use of Products
Detail oriented to maintain accurate patient insurance records
Verifying patient insurance coverage
Data entry, accurate filling of online forms
Great documentation and organizational skills to record full details of outbound communications with providers
Maintain confidentiality of all information
Medical practice software experience
Adhere to all compliance guidelines and regulations
Prior Authorizations
Applying for products
Medical terminology experience
Professional communication skills via phone, email and chat
Customer service skills and experience
Maintain good working relationship with vendor representatives
Computer literacy and experience
Dependable and dedicated to patients to the medical practice
