Fluor Engineering NV, located in Antwerp, is focused on developing long-term relationships with customers in revamping, debottlenecking and expanding the production capacity of their existing facilities in all sectors of the Process Industry in Belgium: Chemical, Petrochemical, Power, Life Sciences, Food, Pharmaceutical, Recycling,.. The Antwerp office provide the full project execution services: from conceptual engineering, basic engineering, and detailed engineering through commissioning and construction support.
The civil/structural lead engineer will work together with and lead the civil/structural engineer(s) within a multi disciplinary team of engineers and designers on projects for several clients in the chemical and petrochemical industry.
Main focus for the civil structural group is to design typical concrete and steel structures and foundations such as pipe-racks, equipment support structures, tank-farms, etc.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate must be able to:
. Supervision, planning, organisation of the work:
- Lead /coordinate a piping design team assign, monitor and manage the work.
- Prepare schedules, estimates, manpower forecasts and apply change-risk management.
- Communicate and align with clients, vendors and other disciplines.
- Supervise and act as mentor for a group of junior and intermediate level designers.
. Work independently, controls / leads small teams
. Proactive reporting project status and constraints to Project Management and Department Manager
Basic Job Requirements
. Master degree or equivalent
. Minimum 15 years of experience in both Civil and Structural Engineering
. Minimum 2 years of experience in a lead position
. Experience with Feasibility, Concept, Feed, Basic and Detail
. Candidates need to be fluent in both Dutch and English.
Written and verbal communication with our Clients is as well in Dutch as English.
. Strong interpersonal skills and client oriented mindset
