SUMMARY OF ROLE
The role will be responsible for leading and managing all aspects of cost optimization, lean manufacturing, and industrial engineering initiatives within the manufacturing sites of Maxeon PH. It will play a vital role in identifying and implementing process improvements, cost optimization strategies, and operational efficiencies across various departments. This role will report to the Cost, Lean, IE, Projects and Training Sr. Department Manager.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Lead and develop Cost Improvement strategies across all Maxeon PH Sites:
Define and drive Maxeon PH Cost Targets through close coordination with Finance and Site leaders, linking Company goals and Site goals with individual deliverables.
Lead the Site Cost Pillars to Develop, define, propose, and execute projects that delivers cost improvement opportunities in productivity, materials usage, waste reduction, and labor optimization.
Align and coordinate with other Maxeon Manufacturing sites to share and adapt cost improvement ideas through a regular forum.
Generate and develop systems to initiate, monitor, and execute Cost Improvement projects and activities.
Set-up and develop Industrial Engineering teams to support existing Maxeon PH manufacturing sites and work with project teams to develop future manufacturing sites.
Utilize industrial engineering techniques to analyze work methods, labor utilization, machine utilization, and bottleneck analysis to improve productivity and reduce costs.
Collaborate with engineering teams to design and implement ergonomic workstations and safety measures.
Develop future expansions or new manufacturing projects using data-based programs and throughput modeling.
Generate and develop systems to initiate, monitor, and execute IE projects and activities.
Lead and implement LEAN methodologies and process improvements across Maxeon PH Sites:
Develop cross-functional teams across Maxeon PH's sites to apply LEAN principles such as value stream mapping, standard work, and Kaizen to eliminate non-value-added activities, reduce cycle times, and improve overall process flow.
Develops metrics that provide data for process measurement, identifying indicators for future improvement opportunities.
Generate and develop systems to initiate, monitor, and execute LEAN projects and activities.
Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience of 10 years in cost optimization, lean manufacturing, and industrial engineering roles.
Excellent leadership and project management abilities
Experience with process improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma and proficient in using lean tools such as value stream mapping, 5S, Kaizen, and standard work.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret and present complex data sets.
