Is currently looking for:
 
COST ENGINEER / QUANTITY SURVEYOR
 
JOB DESCRIPTION
Analyzing requirement documents, blueprints and project plans to gain a thorough understanding of the project
Preparing material estimates and cost estimates for the required scope of works
Creating labor estimates for any project, big and small
Developing and maintaining relationships with company vendors and contractors
Managing bids from vendors and contractors/subcontractors
Using bid data to prepare detailed cost analysis
Presentation of prepared estimates to management and other stakeholders
Compiling and recording actual costs
Progress billing evaluation of subcontractors
Ability to inspect the site in order to double check the accuracy of the submitted progress billings.
Doing other functions relating to the profession, as direct superior or higher management may order
QUALIFICATIONS
A licensed civil engineer or quantity surveyor with at least 5-years work experience in the construction industry in the field of cost estimating/quantity surveying.
Ability to prepare detailed cost report, profit & loss, etc.
Has experienced in cost presentation to higher management
Proficiency in mathematics and data analysis
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
Report writing and strategic planning skills
Familiarity with analyzing requirement data to develop detailed material and cost estimates for both small and large projects
Expertise with analytic tools, such as spreadsheets and database managers, AutoCAD
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, architectural & structural plans.
Excellent written communication and interpersonal skills
Exceptional time management skills
Experienced with estimating software, such as Planswift, E-Takeoff, etc., is an added advantage
Must be willing to render overtime if deemed necessary by the immediate superior
