COST ANALYST
We are looking for a cost analyst to help us review our products materials, costs and profits. You will be the go-to person for quote preparations and you need to prepare the project budget for the company to stay on track of its expenses.
To do this job well, we’d like you to be a fast learner on the product, well-versed in data and financial analysis and have strong attention to detail.
Ultimately, your job will be an integral part of our efforts to ensure profitability and business success.
Responsibilities
Review design layouts and analyze cutting list for accuracy.
Review hardware, accessories and specifications if correct.
Prepare the sales contract proposal/quotation and ensure all data are correct.
Create and manage project budgets and monitor spending
Determine standard costs and investigate variances with actual costs
Help management make important decisions based on costs and benefits (e.g. investments, market growth, pricing changes)
Forecast and analyze costs of processes, labor and inventory
Suggest cost-reducing or profitable solution
Conduct market research to support future business planning
Requirements
Proven experience as a cost analyst, cost specialist or similar role
Strong analytical skills
Advance Excel skills is important
A business acumen
Great attention to detail
Ability to understand architectural plans or design is an advantage
Degree in design, industrial engineering, finance or similar field is preferred.
