The Opportunity:
Data collection and cost review.
Accurate Product Costing for existing and new products.
Support for monthly/mid-month forecast and yearly budget preparation.
Accurate and timely monthly reporting of local and regional requirements.
Accurate and timely month end close for GL accounts assigned.
Manufacturing and cost analysis.
Manufacturing Asset and CAPEX management.
Inventory management and governance.
Compliance to internal controls (SOX) and policies.
Material Master Data in SAP.
Key Responsibilities:
Independently collect and analyse operational data.
Provide valuable support to manufacturing thru accurate and timely report such as but not limited to: daily and weekly maintenance and consumables cost update, power cost analysis, and gas cost analysis (LPG, Co2, and Diesel).
Updates manufacturing forecast, lead the review of assumptions, and forecast results with the Plant Controller.
Working across the plant to deliver plant forecasts, budgets, and operating plans - highlighting risks and opportunities.
Prepares weekly and monthly Rolled Throughput Yield (RTY) Report. Analyse drivers of performance.
Prepares and conducts monthly inventory count schedule planning and participates in the monthly/weekly inventory count as a verifier. Reconciles and investigate variances, and is responsible for approval routing of count results.
Assists the Plant Controller with suggesting changes to policies or procedures to improve the over-all control environment of the plant.
About you:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field (CPA/MBA or working towards preferred)
3 or more years of cost accounting/operations experience
ERP systems software (SAP preferred).
Ability to manage multiple concurrent assignments while meeting deadlines and demanding quality execution.
Demonstrate advanced computer skills (Microsoft Word and Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Pivot tables and V lookups, and other financially related and proprietary software).
Has some "shop floor" experience in a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrate knowledge of Cost Accounting processes and procedures within a manufacturing environment.
Demonstrate knowledge of operational accounting (cost accounting, including project costing).
Demonstrate knowledge of IFRS and Internal Controls.
