Corporate Security Supervisor
Primary Responsibilities
Assists in the implementation of the Security Mission i.e., to protect our people, locations, equipment, funds, trademark, in partnership with business and support functions throughout the company.
Performs reviews on cases/referrals from initial receipt of enquiry to archiving; including sending the appropriate communications to SGS affiliates and coordinating data collection and/or investigation on Document Verification, Due Diligence, Pre-travel Security Advice Requests, Travel Security alert monitoring, High Risk Airlines alerts, Manual PNR uploads, and Security Incident Reports) within the protocols set by the Global Corporate Security team
Ensures the accuracy, integrity and data security of Global Corporate Security Information (findings, reports, databases, etc.) from processing to archiving.
Evaluates cases/referrals based on Corporate Security guidelines, processes, and performance standards set by the Global Corporate Security team
Generate timely and accurate reports within the performance standards set by the Global Corporate Security team
Specific Responsibilities
Verifies initially the correctness, completeness, and consistency of all relevant information received from Request Tracker (RT) system
Performs comprehensive evaluation and/or investigation of tickets/cases
Records accurately and timely information in RT metadata from enquiries received.
Provides timely and effective feedbacks to the enquirers and to the SGS network in relation to enquiries concerning security support services
Checks and reviews weekly housekeeping of tickets
Ensures all Corporate Security databases that are managed by the Manila team are correct and up-to- date, including reports and references.
Escalates cases for investigation to Global Security Team immediately (including any breach of SGS Code of Integrity)
Assists in the maintenance of Quality Management System documentation by providing feedback and suggestions on process improvements
Complies with SGS Code of Integrity and Professional Conduct, company policies, goals, objectives, rules, and regulations at all times.
Performs duties or other tasks which may be assigned by the Management to achieve operational efficiency
Complies with the Quality, Health and Safety, Environment and Energy (QHSEE) policies and collaborating objectives including, but not limited to:
Demonstrates strong undertaking to SGS QHSEE policies, procedures and work instructions by actively participating in meetings, projects and events, completes required training, intervenes in unsafe situations, refuses unsafe work, and complies fully with all applicable laws and regulations related to HSEE
Reacts appropriately and immediately to emergency situations and assists other staff members in maintaining readiness to react to emergencies within the workplace
Disposes or directs the disposal of waste generated as a part of daily work performed in a safe manner and in compliance with the disposal regulations and requirements, and in accordance with SGS Environmental Management System requirements
Reports all incidents, including near misses and hazards, that may affect the achievement of QHSEE objectives in accordance with SGS Incident Reporting and Management requirements
Efficiently uses all equipment, including safety equipment, and company owned property in the manner intended and reports any damaged / lost equipment to Line Supervisor
Maintains a safe and tidy worksite according to the organization's 5S program and guidelines
Maintains awareness of the safety and health related hazards and environmental aspects and proposes action plans to control the risks to Line Supervisor or QHSEE Coordinators
Actively participates in incident investigations and risk assessments as deemed necessary by SGS management
Fulfills the requirements needed in the success of the QHSEE Management System
Recognizes the potential consequences of not following the established policies, procedures, and guidelines, including not fulfilling the organization's compliance obligations
Qualifications
Profile
University degree or equivalent professional qualification
Experienced in Corporate Security, Risk Management, Travel Security, Data Management, an advantage
Required Skills
Experience / Technical knowledge
At least two years experience in SGS operations, preferably as Risk Analyst, Data Analyst, or Product Conformity Analyst or equivalent experience related to Corporate Security and Risk Management
Good track record in handling delicate and confidential transactions
Good background in international trade
Very good communication and presentation skills
Computer literate and knowledgeable in Microsoft Office Windows applications
Strong minded, Positive and results oriented
Detail-oriented
Can easily see trends/relationships in data
Can work on extended hours and/or work shifts whenever necessary
Languages
Fluent in oral and written English
Knowledge in other languages (i.e. French, Spanish, Chinese) an advantage
