Job Description and Responsibilities:
Provide legal support to the business team. Develop creative solutions and guide the team along the path to implementation by performing a structured legal analysis based on the current complex financial regulatory landscape; proactively identifying and communicating legal risks; acting as a proactive partner in achieving business goals
Deep understanding of local financial companies regulatory environment; expertise in relevant areas of the law, including commercial, privacy, criminal, labor
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial agreements, corporate documents, Board resolutions, articles of incorporation, by-laws. Ability to create templates
Representation in courts and in proceedings with administrative authorities
Cooperate on behalf of the Company with relevant government agencies (SEC, DTI, BIR, LGUs, DOLE)
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Law with a strong academic record
Member of the Philippine Bar
Demonstrated record for success as a lawyer, 2+ years PQE
Knowledge of common law, civil law
Excellent legal analytical skills with the ability to untangle and analyze complex legal issues and to integrate legal advice and business knowledge, while providing balanced, strategic advice regarding risks and benefits
First-class written and verbal communication skills in English, including the ability to lead or participate in meetings and conference calls to negotiate agreements
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to build strong working relationships with internal clients at all levels
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines
