CORPORATE COMMUNICATIONS SPECIALIST
 
Role:
 
Be the communicator to internal stakeholders that includes employees, executives, owners, and shareholders. Oversee producing high-quality content that effectively delivers internal developments, utilizing digital and traditional platforms.
 
The main duties are to be the eyes, ears, and voice of the organization. Responsible for correspondence between employees across various groups and business units. Maintain the connection between the organization and employees with the right information and keeping the organization transparent and all internal audiences engaged.
 
Must be an excellent communicator, with brilliant presentation, and organizational skills.
 
Job Requirements:
Establish an internal communications strategy in conjunction with Communications Officer.
Ensure organizational initiatives and projects are successfully communicated to employees and stakeholders.
Plan, edit and write content for a variety of internal communications mediums, such as a staff intranet, monthly magazine, or regular email bulletin. May be required to work on the layout of the content.
Keep internal clients abreast of progress and answer their questions.
Storyboard or translate ideas to the design team.
Use social media to communicate with staff internally.
Deliver presentations at organizational events.
Draft messages or scripts for key senior executives for presentation to employees in written or spoken form.
Ensure internal communications messages are consistent across all mediums and for different groups and business units.
Ensure internal communication messages are consistent with external communication messages.
Respond to feedback from staff and adjust communications content accordingly.
Handle the internal communication response to crisis situations that affect organizational perception and reputation.
Advise key senior executives of developments throughout the organization, either face-to-face or through regular written communication.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, Marketing, or relevant field.
A minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar role.
Proven experience creating targeted content is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques.
Outstanding written and verbal communication skills.
Must be able to multitask and work well under pressure.
Excellent organizational and leadership abilities.
KEY SKILLS:
Excellent writing, editing and proofreading skills as well as the journalistic ability to source stories from all sources.
Strong speaking skills as it is expected to give presentations to internal audiences such as employees, executives, owners, and shareholders.
Good interpersonal and relationship-building skills to work with various heads of groups and business units. Must possess the confidence to deal with senior executives and explain communication techniques to them.
Creative ability to devise communication strategies.
Familiarity with information technology, especially digital and video means of communication, is essential.
