Job Description
The Corporate Communications Assistant provides support to the Firm's corporate communications, including management and maintenance of media relations, monitoring external legal publications, international law firm networks, professional and civic organizations, website, and communication channels.
Essential duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
Content Development:
Content creation and updating for publications, website, and channels;
Creates and designs promotional materials according to given guidelines;
Conducting research for proposals and reports;
Liaises with external providers for proposals, design, and production of communication resources;
Drafts media releases, company announcements, and other communications, as needed;
Publication Coordination:
Acts as project coordinator for publications including processing;
Monitors and maintains media releases related to the Firm, in coordination with the Library;
Assists with inquiries and requests.
Website and Channels:
Manages the Corporate Communications inbox;
Coordinates and maintains web content, including social media channels and affiliate websites;
Monitors website and channels, tracks, reports, and statistics;
Writes online posts and does basic editing of images, as required.
Database and Inventory:
Manages databases of key stakeholders;
Maintains the inventory of the firm's knowledge resources (both electronic and in print), and photography archive;
Maintains and archives office documents and activities.
Project Preparation:
Includes conducting initial research, canvassing for estimates and coordinating with suppliers, administrative support in securing and processing documents and payments, preparing related materials and correspondence, and obtaining speakers materials.
Event Coordination:
Includes assistance in coordinating with guests, organizers, and speakers, setting up display tables or presentation materials, taking photos for documentation (if necessary).
Assists in the conduct of Firm activities.
Project Documentation:
Coordinates with event/project organizers to compile related materials (including photos or lists of participants), assistance in completing post-project correspondences, and assistance in auditing of expenditures.
Qualifications
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's/College Degree in Communication Arts, Marketing Management, Art/Design/Creative Multimedia, Journalism, Business Studies/Administration/Management, and Mass Communications or equivalent
With exemplary skill working with computers specifically in the following areas: word processing, spreadsheets, presentations, internet, database, and others
Excellent written and verbal communications skills
With a background in content development, photography and design/layout are pluses
Very good interpersonal skills, must be a team player and can work well with diverse individuals
1-3 years of experience in event coordination, events management, and public relations an advantage
