High-Level Responsibilities
Innovation and Quality: You will drive an innovative writing approach, lead copy editing, and create compelling topics that resonate with Athena's target audience across all channels and formats.
Research: You will be responsible for creating articles (blogs and social media posts) that are based on insights, research, and facts.
What team are you on and who will you work with?
This role reports to Marketing but will work closely with other areas of the business including the Recruitment and Client Experience teams to brainstorm ideas, create concepts, and develop messaging ensuring our Recruitment and Product Marketing is presented best-in-class.
Specific Projects
Develop and manage the overall copyrighting for Athena across all communication channels (primarily external) such as (but not limited to) social media posts, communications, websites, and blogs.
Produces original written and error-free copy pieces that are backed by research, data, and facts to help marketing and streamline company branding.
Interpret creative direction and audience insights and turn them into persuasive copy concepts.
Uses search engine optimization best practices and current trends in aligning copy with top search results to increase exposure and visibility.
Monitor copies across all communication platforms, maintaining strong control of quality and accuracy and continually raising the bar on creativity by writing fresh copy that connects with the desired audience and drives action.
Adapt style of writing to multiple target audience's tones of voice and writing requirement formats.
Stay current on trends and competitors within the media sphere and see projects through the whole creative lifestyle, from inception to production.
Creating copy that meets Athena's needs and deadlines.
Partnering with internal parties to learn about their copy needs.
Assisting in other aspects of the creative or marketing processes to help create cohesive, accurate, and effective content.
About You
You have a Bachelor's degree in English, marketing, communications, or a related field.
You have proven success in writing and producing copy for marketing and or advertising campaigns across digital media channels
You are motivated by insights and resourceful in looking for available and credible sources to support any written article/content you produce.
You are knowledgeable of the structure and content of the desired language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar, in addition to advanced reading comprehension skills.
You are detail-oriented to create a copy that's free of errors, follows grammatical rules, and aligns with the company's nuanced brand voice.
You have exceptional skills in social media writing, including the use of hashtags and relevant acronyms, and are knowledgeable of current SEO trends and best practices.
Quality is your most valuable asset. You are creative, resourceful, flexible, and motivated.
You have the ability to understand the needs associated with a project and the target audience.
You're an excellent communicator and can explain the rationale behind the decisions you make with your designs. You need to have a growth mindset that enables you to be receptive to feedback.
