Job Description
Client Consultation: Meet with clients to discuss their floral needs, preferences, and event details. Gather information on themes, colors, styles, and budget constraints to tailor floral designs to their specific requirements and preferences.
Floral Design: Create and execute floral arrangements, bouquets, centerpieces, and other floral installations for various events and occasions, including weddings, parties, corporate events, and special occasions.
Utilize your creativity and design skills to craft unique and visually stunning floral compositions.
Inventory Management: Maintain inventory of fresh flowers, foliage, plants, vases, containers, and floral supplies. Order flowers and materials from suppliers, track inventory levels, and ensure availability of necessary items for upcoming projects a
Quality Control: Inspect flowers and foliage upon delivery to ensure freshness, quality, and suitability for use in arrangements.
Handle flowers with care, removing damaged or wilted stems, and conditioning flowers to prolong their lifespan and maintain their appearance.
Logistics Coordination: Coordinate logistics for flower delivery, setup, and breakdown at event venues.
Collaborate with event planners, vendors, and venue staff to ensure timely delivery and installation of floral arrangements according to event schedules and specifications.
Client Communication: Maintain regular communication with clients throughout the planning process, providing updates, answering questions, and addressing any concerns or changes to floral designs.
Provide exceptional customer service and personalized attention to ensure client satisfaction.
Budget Management: Prepare cost estimates and proposals for floral services based on client requirements and budget constraints.
Track expenses, monitor project budgets, and seek cost- effective solutions to maximize value for clients while maintaining profitability.
Creative Collaboration: Collaborate with florists, designers, and other creative professionals to brainstorm ideas, share inspiration, and collaborate on projects.
Stay current on floral trends, techniques, and design innovations to inform and inspire your work.
Qualifications:
A minimum of 2 year(s) of working experience is required.
Candidates must be at least a high school graduate.
Previous experience in floral design, event planning, or a related field. Formal training or certification in floral design is a plus.
Strong knowledge of flowers, foliage, plants, and floral design principles. Ability to create a wide range of floral arrangements in various styles, from traditional to contemporary.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to listen to clients' needs, communicate ideas effectively, and build rapport with clients and colleagues.
Creativity and artistic flair, with a passion for floral design and a keen eye for color, texture, and composition.
Organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed, especially during peak event seasons.
Physical stamina and dexterity to work with flowers and floral materials, including lifting and carrying arrangements and standing for extended periods.
Valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation for flower pickups, deliveries, and event installations.
