SANTOS LAND DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION is looking for a CONTROLLER.
 
JOB SUMMARY:
 
Controller is responsible for directing and executing the financial activities of the company, maintaining the company budget including capitalized items, overseeing accounting functions, inventory control, operational audit and compliance with government regulatory requirements, taxes and insurance coverage, and providing top management with timely and accurate financial reports for sound decision-making.
Plans, organizes, leads and controls various activities of the Department.
Facilitates preparation and consolidation of annual budget.
Prepares historical Financial Reports and Analysis.
Reports on departmental variance report regularly (actual vs. budget).
Facilitates regular Budget Review and Analysis.
Cost Reporting (estimates vs. actual)
Reports on Investments
Ensures credibility of the computerized accounting systems (CAS)
Ensures completeness and accuracy of recorded company's assets by initiating physical count.
Ensures that all financial documents are complete to support recording of transactions.
Ensures accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
Ensures compliance to all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements.
Monitors changes in government regulation and assess financial implication and make recommendations.
Provides financial data required by all departments in their compliance activities.
Provides necessary data to external auditor in their conduct of financial audit and other special engagement.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIREMENTS:
 
 A) Education & Knowledge
Must be a graduate of a bachelor's degree in Accountancy.
Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with valid PRC License.
With in-depth knowledge of financial regulations, and compliance.
Knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, and cost control principles including generally Accepted Accounting Principles.
Knowledge of automated financial and accounting reporting systems.
B) Experience:
With at least 5 years of experience in a senior-level finance or accounting position, and at least 2 years of experience in Controllership.
Preferably with business acumen in real estate and construction industry.
Experience in areas like financial reporting, budgeting, cost control, and audit.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Acumatica).
Experience in strategic planning and execution.
C) Competencies:
Ability to analyze financial data, and prepare financial reports, statements, and projections.
Ability to motivate teams to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and simultaneously manage several projects.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
