The Assignment:
 
Functions as the Controller for a US law firm with a remote workforce.
 
Responsibilities include:
Preparation of monthly financial statements and quarterly financials including operational and analytical data in the Client's existing presentation formats
Preparation of supporting schedules and account analysis on a quarterly basis and developing standard financials for income tax reporting
Create account analysis detail and reconciliations supporting all major GL account balances consistent with accrual accounting on a GAAP basis
Review monthly agings of accounts receivable and accounts payable and review problematic accounts, if any, with the CFO
Reporting:
 
Reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer while interfacing as necessary with other executive, administrative and operational personnel as needed.
 
Work Setup:
Night shift (US Eastern Standard Time)
Onsite work setup with flexible work schedule
Professional Qualifications and Traits:
College Degree, BS or MBA, with preference for accounting and/or finance focus
CPA with at least 5 years' experience at the manager level or above
Self-starter who can work efficiently and independently
Strong communication skills in English
Experienced in QuickBooks and proficient with MS Office, Google Docs, Adobe, etc.
Exceptional skills in spreadsheets and/or willingness to develop same
Comfortable with video conferencing and online presentations
Demonstrates flexibility and can manage time well
Maintains both Client and Company confidentiality
