Job Description
Performs control accounting and auditing function on various JH Life and LTC accounts, most of the tasks evolve on investigative engagements, problem-solving and case resolution.
Accounting and Reconciliation and Auditing function on various JH Insurance accounts
Daily investigation and clearing of outstanding suspense accounts
Complete daily reconciliations for each account
Provide detailed monthly analysis of outstandingbalancestoourBusiness Unit
Ensuresuspense balances are maintained withinCorporate standards for each account.
Work with various staff of operation areas to identify discrepancies and clear items in a timely manner
Preparation of clearing, accrual Journal entries
Escalation of any variances and open items in suspense accounts and other reconciliation task.
Consistently meet or exceed accuracy and productivity standards.
Minimum Skills Requirement to Hire:
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years related work experience in accounting and the financial services
College/University graduate preferably major in Accounting, CPA is a big plus
Must pass current job expectations and meet performance metrics
Must not have any attendance issues and have not received any disciplinary action
Ability to communicate effectively and interact both verbally and in writing
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyze and solve complex transactions / situations
Effective communication and writing skills
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Attention to Detail and Accuracy are critical in completing tasks.
Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a deadline oriented environment
Technical Skills:
Strong PC skills with the advance knowledge in Microsoft Excel (with Macro and VBA is a plus)
Ability to learn new technologies and tools quickly and work effectively in a changing environment.

General accounting
Candidate must have comprehensive Life insurance products knowledge
Process Specific Knowledge
Research and investigate variances and come up with the resolution in clearing suspense items
Daily reconciliation of assigned accounts.
