The Team
The Global Intelligence and Analytics (GIA) consulting team supports our customers with a horizonal view of the geographies, sectors, and environments that shape the world in which they, their suppliers, and their customers operate. Our consultants design unique solutions drawing on an unparalleled breadth of data and insight spanning Economic Indicators and Forecasts, Global Risk and Maritime and Trade. This role presents an exciting opportunity to be at the forefront of shaping our customers strategies. You will be building economic models based solutions supported by fellow consultants, best-in-class researchers, subject matter experts, data and analytics teams.
The Impact
In this role, as Associate Director, you will be at the forefront of driving business and delivering projects in APAC - our fastest growing region with the most diverse client set spanning industrial/manufacturing, energy and mining, government, trade associations and technology to name a few. Our clients partner with us for the insight and expertise to shape their growth strategies, identify their risks and communicate their impact to their stakeholders. With this role you would have the opportunity to shape the solution and then lead in delivering the work, in collaboration with a world class team of experts and an unparalleled breadth of proprietary data from across our business.
What's in it for you:
Be an integral part of the development, management, and growth of an APAC-regional capability for economic analysis, market sizing and supply chain research for multi-nationals, financials, trade associations, and government institutions
We actively promote integrated research teams to enhance the Global Intelligence & Analytics Consulting offerings. The APAC consulting group is unique in having consultants from across all our practice areas (economics, risk, trade, and supply chain) as part of this team, you would have development opportunities working on projects across all our capability areas and be part of a team and environment that fosters innovation, encouraging you to bring new elements and methodological approaches to the economic and scenario analysis.
Responsibilities:
Supporting our sales team in building a pipeline of business in the region focused on economic impact analysis, market sizing and building supply chain resilience.
Conceptualizing approach and methods to carry out economic analysis in support of solutions design and proposals.
Supporting engagement progress through project management activities and business development functions
Conducting in-depth economic analysis, socio-economic impact assessment , macro and micro scenario research, and credit risk analytics.
Conducting and supporting econometric modeling and forecasting
Presenting methodological process and project findings to clients and leading the analysis and reporting of trends and technical assessments of markets tailored to client needs and expectations.
What We're Looking For:
PhD or Master's degree minimum, with 5-7 years of experience
Expertise in economic analysis and econometric research, exposure to macroeconomic modeling, financial modelling, economic impact, and scenario (what-if) analysis. Mathematical aptitude requirements with a strong ability to deal with large datasets and interpret economic data.
Intellectually curious, collaborative, and positive can-do attitude, strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex economic concepts and models in a clear and concise manner to clients and internal stakeholders. Proven excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to build effective internal and external relationship across multiple stakeholders to win new business and effectively project manage.
Technical capabilities and knowledge of software such as Eviews, R, and Python.
