Job Duties:
 
Responsible for overseeing and coordinating all phases of construction projects, both vertical and horizontal ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to design specifications, safety standards, and quality requirements.
 
Authorities & Responsibilities
 
1. Project Planning and Execution
Develop and implement construction plans, schedules and workflows.
Oversee pre-construction planning, including feasibility studies, cost estimates, and project budgeting.
Manage project timeline for vertical and horizontal projects.
2. Coordination and Supervision
Lead and coordinate activities of architects, engineers, contractors, subcontractors, and construction teams.
Review and approve project designs, drawings, and plans to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and resolve issues.
Resource and Budget Management
Allocate resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, for project efficiency.
Monitor expenditures, control costs, and ensure projects remain within the allocated budget.
4. Quality Control and Safety
Ensure all work meets required quality standards and project specifications.
Enforce adherence to safety protocols and regulations, minimizing risks and accidents.
5. Stakeholder Communication
Act as a primary point of contact between clients, project teams, and stakeholders.
6. Problem-Solving and Issue Resolution
Address and resolve construction-related challenges, including technical and logistical issues.
Implement contingency plans in response to unforeseen delays or changes.
Job Specification:
 
EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
EXPERIENCE: At least 10 years of experience in managing construction projects, including both vertical and horizontal.
CERTIFICATIONS: Project Management Professional/ Certified Construction Manager
TECHNICAL SKILLS: Proficiency in construction Management software (e.g. Procore, PlanGrid, AutoCAD, Primavera P6, MS Project).
