Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Construction Manager District Cooling and Utilities to join our team! In this role you will provide direction and management for small to medium-sized projects and ensures on-schedule completion within or below budget in accordance with contractual obligations. The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the scope development, scope management and commercial performance of the project to meet project goals and objectives. Plans and defines program goals and devises methods to accomplish them; develops in-depth knowledge of client objectives, contract terms, and corporate policies.
What You'll Be Doing
Directs the overall planning of construction activities to identify critical milestones and priorities.
Determines budget estimates and staffing requirements for the defined scope and schedule. Ensures that the services of subcontractors and major construction equipment required by the project will be available at the appropriate time to ensure maximum efficiency and productivity.
Establishes assignments for Construction Superintendents for various work areas of construction operations, monitoring progress and recommending corrective action as necessary.
Conducts performance evaluations and recommends promotions and salary actions.
Manages the assignment of manpower, materials, and equipment to maximize efficiency, maintain schedules, and to meet budget goals. Keeps alert to possible problem areas and takes preventative action to ensure that critical milestones are met for each phase of the project.
Ensures the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost.
Prepares periodic reports summarizing progress of construction activities for higher-level management and clients.
Ensures effective implementation of all Company and client policies and procedures, including labor relations policies.
Serves as the primary contact with client representatives, subcontractors, and government representatives for construction-related activities. Maintains strong client and community relations.
Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
Bachelor's Degree in Mech or Elec Engineering or related field, from an accredited college or university with minimum 15 years construction experience in District Cooling plants & Utilitles on mega PMC projects.
Knowledge of project management principles, practices, techniques, and methodologies as it relates to area of responsibility or discipline.
Knowledge of interactive group techniques, functional analysis, process flow analysis sufficient to facilitate change management and other management improvements.
Skill in developing project plans and scope of work.
Ability to estimate, plan, track, control costs and provide status reporting.
Ability to plan, execute, and control a project (establishing realistic estimates and reporting metrics).
Ability to assess and analyze project risks and exposures; identify options and alternatives, make decisions, and implement corrective actions.
Ability to prepare detailed technical reports and presentations for Client level.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with executive management, staff, consultants, vendors, and government agencies.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
GCC and KSA experience desirable
Ability to collaborate and communicate with designers, contractors, internal and external stakeholders.
Diverse experience of the delivery of projects involving large-scale works such as highways, earthworks, bridges, structures, foundations.
Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, and a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations are also required. In addition, must be knowledgeable of current technology and how it can be effectively utilized on the project.
