Salary Package: 50,000 PHP to 70,000 PHP/MonthlyJob Summary:The Construction Estimator will review plans, perform takeoffs and create detailed estimates of such scope. The estimate serves a critical role to defining the scope of work for the project management team and controlling construction costs.Key Responsibilities:
Gather and organize all available information related to the project.
Explore information to identity missing or conflicting scope/detail related to successful constructability of the project.
Perform Quantity Takeoffs for all aspects of a commercial construction project in quantities required which may include but not limited to demolition, asphalt, curb, fine grading, concrete, masonry, steel (tonnage), framing (all components, doors/hardware, glass storefront (SF), HVAC duct, Plumbing, Electrical components, Electrical conduit/wire. Quantity Takeoffs are completed using On Screen Takeoff or Bluebeam softwares.
Assist with construction document/plan/spec review, redlining, requests for information
Perform digital takeoffs using On-Screen Takeoff (OST), Bluebeam, or similar that highlight the scope of work.
Estimate components of the scope of work, such as material, labor and equipment, required to complete project using Microsoft Excel using existing cost information.
Build and maintain rapport and an open line of communication with the entire project management team.
Work with the team to review and finalize takeoff.
Role evolve into inputting takeoffs into an estimate in Excel or similar software for use in the buyout and execution phases of the work.
Optional ability to price material with vendors before handing off to project management team.
Qualifications:
Degree in construction, engineering, business management/finance/accounting or similar fields is preferred, but not required based on level of experience and aptitude.
Knowledge of Construction, components of construction, and how these components are constructed.
Commercial construction experience across multiple trades is preferred.
Experience working with U.S based clients is a plus.
Experience using the following software is a plus:
AutoCAD
Revit
Civid 3D
Planswift
Ability to understand and learn/interpret construction drawings, specifications, and renderings.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce accurate, high-quality work.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, with heavy emphasis in Excel, as well as electronic takeoff software.
Ability to create and input data into spreadsheets and good understanding of data analysis.
Critical thinker and problem solver.
Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
Ability to communicate effectively.
