CONSTRUCTION ESTIMATOR (FEDERAL PROJECTS)
 
Location: Work from Home (Cebu Based)
 
Job Type: Full-time
 
Responsibilities:
Review and analyze project plans, specifications, and other documents to understand the scope of work and project requirements.
Perform accurate quantity take-offs and material cost estimates for federal construction projects.
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, architects, and subcontractors to gather necessary information and ensure comprehensive bid packages.
Utilize construction estimating software and tools to generate detailed cost estimates, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead expenses.
Research and analyze historical data, market trends, and industry benchmarks to ensure competitive and cost-effective bidding strategies.
Prepare and submit timely and compliant bid proposals for federal solicitations, adhering to all requirements and regulations.
Participate in pre-bid meetings, site visits, and negotiations as needed to clarify project details and address client concerns.
Maintain accurate records of bid documents, correspondence, and pricing information for future reference and analysis.
Stay informed about changes in federal procurement policies, construction codes, and industry best practices related to estimating and bidding processes.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred.
Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating, particularly with federal projects.
Strong proficiency in reading and interpreting construction drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Demonstrated ability to perform detailed take-offs and cost estimates using industry-standard software (e.g., Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff).
Thorough understanding of federal contracting procedures, FAR regulations, and compliance requirements.
Excellent analytical skills with a keen attention to detail and accuracy.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and interact professionally with clients, subcontractors, and government officials.
Proven organizational and time management abilities to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Familiarity with LEED certification, Davis-Bacon Act, prevailing wage rates, and other federal construction standards preferred.
Professional certifications such as Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar credentials are a plus.
