Objective : The Compliance Officer is responsible to review of the adherence of a company to regulatory guidelines. He needs to review and confirm that the company is following terms and agreements or the rules and regulations that are applicable to a particular activity or practice that is prescribed by an external authority such as buyers.
Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities :
- Reviewing records in order to verify that an organization has performed everything in compliance rules and regulations.
- Giving recommendations to management of Department found to be non-compliant.
- Scheduling future audits in order to monitor the progress of non-compliant Departments.
- Making sure that an organization operates within local buyer's customs laws that includes all import and export regulations, as well as follow procedures and regulations.
- To make sure that equipment and operation are also in compliance with laws, company guidelines, practices and contractual agreements.
- Find issues that an organization needs to fix so they wouldn't be classified as non-compliant in the future.
- Point out all the negative aspects so that a company will have a clean record and not fail because of non-compliance. Every negative aspect needs to be reported to management along with suggestions on how to make things better.
Duties and Responsibilities :
- Assists Auditor during Social Compliance Audit.
- In-charge in presentation of all the documents needed during the audit period.
- In-charge in preparing the Corrective Action Plan (CAP) to be implemented and monitor the sustainability of the findings.
- Custodian for all permits, documents and records for Social Compliance audit purposes.
- Monitor all monthly/ annually reports, updates for audit purposes.
- Performs other duties as assigned from to time.
