Job Summary
The Company Nurse is responsible for providing basic healthcare services to employees, promoting occupational health and safety practices, and ensuring compliance with health regulations in a food manufacturing environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Medical Care & First Aid
Provide first aid and emergency care to injured or ill employees on-site.
Monitor and manage the clinic's medical supplies and equipment.
Maintain accurate medical records and incident reports.
2. Health Monitoring & Wellness
Conduct regular health assessments (e.g., blood pressure, weight, temperature).
Implement health and wellness programs (vaccinations, seminars, etc.).
Support annual physical examinations and medical screenings.
3. Occupational Health & Safety
Assist in the development and implementation of workplace health policies.
Conduct routine workplace inspections for health-related hazards.
Participate in safety drills, trainings, and incident investigations.
4. Compliance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with DOLE, DOH, and other regulatory bodies.
Prepare and submit required medical and accident reports.
Maintain confidentiality of employee medical records.
5. HR Support & HMO Administration
Coordinate with external health service providers and HMO partners.
Assists with HMO enrollment, deletions, and coordination with providers
Responds to employee inquiries regarding health benefits.
Provide health education and counseling to employees.
Assist HR in return-to-work assessments and health clearances.
Participates in HR-driven wellness and employee engagement activities.
Qualifications:
Licensed Registered Nurse (RN)
Preferably with BOSH (Basic Occupational Safety and Health) Training for Nurses
At least 1 -2 years of clinical or occupational health experience in a manufacturing or food industry
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office and report preparation
Knowledge of DOLE and DOH health compliance standards
Ability to work independently and handle emergencies
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering (required).
Postgraduate or professional certification in maintenance or project management is an advantage.
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in engineering or maintenance within a manufacturing environment, preferably in the food or bakery industry.
Proven experience managing a technical team and implementing engineering projects.
Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
Excellent leadership, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
Solid understanding of GMP, HACCP, and relevant health and safety regulations.
Effective communication and team coordination skills
