Job Title: Company Nurse

Job Summary:
The Company Nurse is responsible for assessing employee's health problems and needs, develop and implement health education programs, and maintain medical records. Administer nursing care to ill or injured employees. He/She is also responsible for managing variety of specialized activities related to HR management such as company benefits.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Provide emergency and palliative care and treatment to employees within the legal scope of nursing responsibility such as first-aid treatment, checking of vital signs, health interview and dispensing of medicine.
Administer first aid and gives immediate medical attention to sick and injured employees.
Conduct interview and discuss with employee any work related problems that affect employees' morale, health and productivity.
Assess and determine the health status of the employee which includes recommendations like sent home or back to work.
Make hospital referrals and/or transport ill employees to the hospital as necessary.
Conduct home visit or follow through of employees with chronic illnesses or on prolong sick leave.
Perform health counseling and conduct health education programs.
Maintain, monitor and report employee's individual medical records and other related records with strict confidentiality to immediate supervisor.
Act as in-plant HMO Administrator. Coordinate with service provider to resolve any issues/concerns, review and process enrollment and payment.
Assess pre-employment medical examination results and coordinates status/evaluation with recruitment personnel.
Coordinate any work-related injuries/illnesses to concerned personnel for immediate investigation and corrective actions.
Schedule and implement annual/periodic/special examination of employees. Assess results, refer to Company Physician for management, monitor recommendations and follow through until illness is cleared.
Process enrolment for Health Maintenance Organization (HMO).
Secure and ensure that the sick employees submit "fit to work" certificate providing interpretation and evaluation.
Prepare Phil health (PHIC) requirements for sick employees or any purposes.
Perform other task as assigned by Immediate Supervisor from time to time.
Qualifications
Required minimum level of Education:
A qualified candidate must be a registered nurse with experience in first aid treatment and HR/Administrative work preferably with Basic Occupational Safety & Health (BOSH) training and knowledgeable about administering the right treatment; with good communication skills and have the ability to objectively explain concepts, policies, and ideas to people with varying levels.
The ideal candidate must
Maintain accurate, detailed reports and records.
Ensure that Work priorities are clearly established and followed.
Ensure that files and databases are accurate and updated on a regular basis. Assures back-up in maintaining files and databases.
Communicate clearly to all levels within and outside the organization.
