PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
The Company Nurse/Safety Officer is responsible for planning, implementing and overseeing company's employee health & safety at work. Their main duty is to ensure that the company is in compliance and adheres to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) guidelines.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Safety
Creates, enacts, and updates employee's safety & wellness programs that cover government regulations and the company's standards.
Educates employees on the value of safety in the workplace and asses workplace risks and strengthen preparedness to these risks.
Responsible for formulation of initiatives that will prevent accidents in the plant.
Processes DOLE mandated reports and ensures compliance to OSH/DOLE requirements.
Ensures that the company meets the safety and health requirements and ensures timely application of corrective measures whenever necessary.
Formulates health and safety policies that will help reduce accidents in the workplace.
Timely investigates cases of accidents and implements post-injury follow up and implements countermeasures to prevent repetition of accidents.
Checks and identifies unsafe conditions and practices. Proposes resolution to eliminated the same.
Keeps self abreast of updated laws and regulations concerning safety, life safety, hazardous materials and waste, emergency preparedness in healthcare and incorporates knowledge into practice.
Acts as a liaison with local fire departments/Fire Marshall's office.
Health and Wellness
Identifies workplace health hazards and how they can affect the employee's health. Proposes solution to reduce hazard.
Schedules employees Annual Physical Examination with our HMO provider.
Provides assistance to every employee regarding queries to health, check-up and HMO related concerns.
Issues and monitors supply of medicines and conduct first aid services.
Checks and audits Plant hygiene and cleanliness and Cafeteria healthy menu.
Maintains cleanliness in Clinic area.
Administers first aid treatments and provide medications for employees as needed.
Monitors and records the patient's medical condition.
Assists all injured employees to the nearest hospital.
Maintains all employees medical and other similar records.
Secures and ensures that the sick employees submit a "fit to work" certificate.
Interprets and evaluates diagnostic test based on the verification of medical certificates.
Timely replenishes medical supplies; monitor the stock inventory of medicines and other necessary supplies every month.
Performs other tasks that maybe assigned from time to time.
QUALIFICATIONS:
>Graduate of any 4-year course; Registered Nurse; Completed OSH Requirements
>With BOSH Training
>With at least 1-2 years experience as Nurse
>With Safety Officer experience
>Knowledgeable in OSH guidelines
>Computer literate; Communication Skills
>Attention to detail; Can work with minimal supervision
>Willing to Work in Clark,Pampanga
