To successfully push forward in this challenging business, we are looking for a Company Nurse / HR Staff.
 
Your responsibility
 
As a Company Nurse/HR Staff, you are responsible for promoting and maintaining the health and wellness of employees by providing occupational health services in accordance with DOLE regulations and internal policies. Additionally, you are responsible for supporting HR operations including recruitment, onboarding, employee records management, timekeeping, and government reporting.
 
Key Responsibilities
Occupational Health Care
Provide first aid treatment, basic emergency care, and referral services to injured or ill employees during work hours.
Maintain inventory and dispense over-the-counter medications according to clinic guidelines and monitor for side effects or adverse reactions.
Evaluate employees for fit-to-work clearance, recommend medical leave when necessary, and facilitate referrals to clinics or hospitals.
Coordinate with the company's retainer doctor and external medical providers for further medical care and consultations.
Health Monitoring & Surveillance
Conduct periodic and annual medical screenings in coordination with accredited medical providers.
Monitor and maintain employee medical records, laboratory results, fit-to-work certificates, and other relevant documentation.
Assist in the identification of work-related illnesses and health risks associated with specific job tasks or work environments.
Workplace Health Promotion
Lead the implementation of health-related activities such as vaccination programs, wellness campaigns, physical exams, and workplace health policies such as family planning, hepatitis preventions, mental health, and others.
Provide health guidance during workplace incidents or emergencies (e.g., COVID-19 outbreaks, dengue season).
Act as Team Leader of the First Aid and Rescue Team under the EHS Committee.
Health and Safety Compliance
Ensure compliance with DOLE-OSHS and PEZA/MEPZ II health requirements, including maintaining updated clinic records, medicines, and medical supplies.
Assist the Safety Officer in conducting workplace inspections, safety training, fire and earthquake drills, and risk assessments.
Participate in Safety and Health Committee meetings and assist in the development of emergency response plans.
Health Records & Documentation
Maintain accurate and confidential medical and clinic records, incident reports, health declarations, and other DOLE-required documentation.
Generate reports on health statistics and accident logs for submission to DOLE or internal management.
Track and maintain the inventory of medicines and medical supplies, and process purchase requests for replenishment.
Prepare and assist in compliance documentation for both internal and external audits and inspections.
Ensure clinic cleanliness, equipment functionality, and proper disposal of medical waste.
Ensure health and safety emergency equipment is stocked, functioning, and ready to use.
Administrative and HR Support Functions
Support the recruitment process, including job posting, initial screening, interview coordination, and onboarding.
Help maintain and organize employee 201 files, employment contracts, disciplinary records, and other HR documentation (physical and digital).
Monitor employee attendance, tardiness, and leave applications, and support timekeeping for payroll processing.
Facilitate sickness and maternity notifications, compute benefit claims, and coordinate with relevant government agencies.
Respond to employee inquiries and concerns related to health, welfare, and government benefits.
Participate in preparation and coordination for DOLE and PEZA inspections or inquiries.
Prepare HR-related reports including headcount and manhours report.
Support both internal and external audits by ensuring timely provision of accurate documentation.
Assist in compliance with DOLE, PEZA/MEPZ II, and labor audits by preparing required documentation.
Qualifications and experience
Must be a Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid PRC license.
Preferably with Basic Occupational Safety and Health (BOSH) training for nurses in accordance with DOLE requirements.
Certification in First Aid and Basic Life Support (BLS) is an advantage.
Familiarity with DOLE health regulations, and occupational health and safety programs.
Strong knowledge of occupational health nursing, emergency response, wellness promotion, and ISO 45001.
Proficient in clinic documentation, recordkeeping, and report preparation.
Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with employees, management, and health agencies.
Ability to handle medical emergencies with calmness and sound judgment.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and HRIS or timekeeping systems
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and conflict-resolution skills
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive information
Proactive, detail-oriented, and a team player
