Job Summary:
To provide medical services and dispensing of medicines to company personnel
Responsible for delivering occupational and health nursing services and programs
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
The first-line healthcare provider in the workplace
Responsible for providing nursing care to sick or injured employees, handles medical related inquiries and educates employees on the prevention of sickness / diseases
Responsible with pre-employment medical exams on applicants and assess their fitness to work
Oversees and monitors HMO enrollment of all new regularized employees
Coordinates with HMO provider in processing HMO coverage (principal & dependents)
Provides first aid treatment, provides medications, health assessments and referral. Brings employee to hospital in cases when the clinic does not have the facility to treat the sickness or accident
Assists in getting vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, etc. during employee consultations. Files and updates employee's medical records
Ensures that inventory, storage and administration of drugs and medicines are undertaken
Follows up and validates lab results, fit to work or medical certificates for employees
Provides clerical support to various HRD functions
Do other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
Occupational Safety
Promotes preventive health care programs to employees through safety and health seminars and information campaign
Conducts regular worksite walk-through assessments to determine employee-work processes and potential sources of illness and injury
Monitors employees' safety, sanitation and grooming
Ensures that company complies with government rulings on occupational and safety
Ensures safety standards are met and identify any potential safety hazards in the workplace
Educational & Professional Qualifications:
Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's/College Degree in Nursing
Required skills: Basic Life Support & First Aid
Must be a Registered Nurse, with updated PRC License
With Basic Occupational Health & Safety Training accredited by DOLE
At least 2-3 years working experience
Good professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
A positive attitude and a pro-active approach
Strong employee relation skills and discipline compliance
Self-starter who can work with minimum supervision, keen to details
