Company Nurse cum Admin Assistant
Job Summary:
• To provide medical services and dispensing of medicines to company personnel
• Responsible for delivering occupational and health nursing services and programs
Principal accountabilities:
• Provide medical services and dispensing of medicines to company personnel
• The first-line healthcare provider in the workplace
• Responsible for providing nursing care to sick or injured employees, handles medical related inquiries and educates employees on the prevention of sickness / diseases
• Responsible with the pre-employment medical exams on applicants and assess their fitness to work
• Provides clerical support to the various HRD functions
• Do other tasks that may be assigned from time to time
• Oversees and monitors HMO enrollment of all new regularized employees
• Coordinates with the HMO provider in processing HMO coverages (principal and dependents)
• Provides first aid treatment, provides medications, health assessments and referral. Brings employee to hospital in cases when the clinic does not have the facility to treat the sickness or accident
• Assists in getting vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, pulse rate, etc. during employee consultations. Files and updates employee's medical records
• Ensures that inventory, storage and administration of drugs and medicines are undertaken
• Follows up and validates laboratory results, fit to work or medical certificates for employees
Occupational Safety
• Promotes preventive health care programs to employees, through safety and health seminars, programs and information campaign
• Conducts regular worksite walk-through assessments to determine employee work processes and potential sources of illness and injury
• Monitors employees' safety, sanitation and grooming
• Ensures that company complies with government rulings on occupational and safety
• Ensures safety standards are met and identify any potential safety hazards in the workplace
