Overview:
 
Company drivers are responsible for safely operating vehicles to transport passengers, goods, or materials for their employers. They play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries, maintaining vehicle safety, and providing excellent customer service. To excel in this role, drivers must possess a combination of driving skills, adherence to regulations, and strong communication abilities.
 
Responsibilities:
Safe Driving: Operate vehicles safely and defensively, following traffic laws and company policies to protect passengers, cargo, and other road users.
Vehicle Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and report any mechanical issues promptly to ensure vehicles are in optimal condition for operation.
Route Planning: Plan efficient routes, considering factors such as traffic, weather, and delivery schedules to minimize travel time and maximize productivity.
Loading/Unloading: Assist with loading and unloading cargo or passengers, ensuring proper handling and securing of items to prevent damage.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of mileage, fuel consumption, deliveries, and inspections in compliance with company policies and regulations.
Communication: Effectively communicate with dispatchers, supervisors, and customers to provide updates on delivery status, address inquiries, and report any issues.
Customer Service: Provide courteous and professional service to customers or passengers, addressing concerns and ensuring a positive experience.
Adherence to Schedule: Follow assigned schedules and deadlines for pickups, deliveries, or transport to meet customer expectations and business needs.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and company policies related to driving, transportation, and vehicle operation.
Emergency Response: Respond calmly and efficiently to emergencies or accidents, following established protocols to ensure the safety of all involved parties.
Qualifications:
Valid Driver's License: Hold a valid driver's license appropriate for the vehicle type, with a clean driving record and no serious violations.
Experience: Previous driving experience, preferably in a commercial or transportation setting, is beneficial.
Physical Fitness: Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including sitting for long periods and lifting heavy items.
Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication skills to interact effectively with coworkers, supervisors, and customers.
Attention to Detail: Thorough attention to detail to maintain accurate records, ensure vehicle safety, and comply with regulations.
Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in various driving situations, including emergencies.
Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, to accommodate business needs.
Dependability: Reliable attendance and commitment to fulfilling job duties consistently and efficiently.
Clean Background: Pass background checks and drug/alcohol screenings as required by company policy and regulations.
Mechanical Knowledge: Basic understanding of vehicle mechanics and maintenance procedures to perform minor repairs or inspections.
Salary and Benefits:
Starting salary: 15,000 PHP per month
Statutory government benefits: SSS, Pag-iBig, PhilHealth
Work Schedule:
Shift: 6 days a week (Sunday to Friday), Saturday is a rest day.
Time: 9:00AM - 6:00PM
